Proverbs 1 begins with the purpose for which the book was written: "For attaining wisdom and discipline.." This book that was given to us is a treasure! Not only does the Bible tell us how God reached down to us and saved us, but it also give us instruction on how to succeed in this earthly life! Wisdom is the coordination of knowledge and experience.
Wisdom = knowledge + experience
Questions to Ponder...
1. Prov. 1:7 says "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge" When we fear people more than we fear God, what happens?
2. Prov. 3:5,6 Says to trust with all your heart in who? And to lean not on who's understanding? What is one situation right now that you can do this with?
Ways to Pray...
James 1:5 says that if any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask and it will be given to you. Ask the Lord for wisdom on how to bring glory to Him in your life today.
