Psalm 103 is a great psalm of praise!
Someone once said "Life is 10% reality and 90% attitude." Meaning, 10% of your life is what happens to you and 90% of your life is how you respond to that 10%. Would you agree with this statement? I'm not sure how accurate the percentages are, (or even if it is quantifiable) however i would agree that much of life is how we interpret it. When we read this psalm of praise, the writer David focuses our attention on the goodness of our God. When we believe that God is good, it changes the way we view life. When trials occur, we don't become devastated but we find strength to trust that God is good and will take care of us.
Questions to Consider and Ponders...
1. In verse 2, David calls us to not forget all God's benefits. What benefits do we have from God?
2. Verse 13, says God will have compassion like a father on us if we do something. What are we to do?
3. How has your attitude about life been lately? Do you need to renew your heart and mind?
A Way to Pray...
Praise the Lord for his patience with you and not treating you as your sins deserve. Ask Him to give you a renewed fear of Him in all areas of your life today
