e100 Challenge Day 5 - Tower of Babel - Genesis 11:1-9

It's day 5 of our 100 day Bible reading challenge! So how are you doing? If you have missed a day, don't worry you can catch up! The next two days are less than a chapter each day to read. :)

This is a fascinating story of once again, man boasting in himself. (verse 4)  It didn't take long for man's evil, pride filled heart to take over and seek to glorify himself instead of God. This is a constant problem with mankind, seeking to lift himself up, instead of lifting up the name of God.  How quickly we also look to be famous instead of make God famous! Jesus said, whoever is first will be last, and whoever is last shall be first."

Questions to Discuss or Ponder....
1.  What was so wrong about building a tower?
2. What did God do in order to stop the building of the tower?

Ways to Pray...
Ask God to show you areas in your life that you seek to lift up your name instead of God's name.

The Bux-Mont & Telford Campuses of the Penn Valley Church Multi-site Network are participating in the e100 Challenge, a 100-day Bible reading program. True revival comes from prayer and knowing the Word of God. We can only live the life God intended if we know what He says about it. Join us as we read through this plan and grow deeper in our knowledge of God's Word.
